The Gallery has work to buy from many painters and printmakers, the majority from Yorkshire. As well as the artists represented below we also sell work from artists including:  Victoria Brookland, Sarah Morpeth, Helen Brown and Jane Burnley.

Hester Cox

Collagraph - Hester Cox
Based in the Yorkshire Dales, Hester creates collagraphs, solar and monoprints inspired by the natural landscape, the plants and wildlife which inhabit it and the stories, myths and symbolism associated with them.

Janis Goodman

Etching  - Janis Goodman
Frequently drawing inspiration from the city of Leeds, Janis is fascinated by the patterns of roofs and chimney pots as well as birds and plants. Her etchings are individually inked, wiped and printed in limited editions.

Ian Scott Massie

Watercolour - Ian Scott Massie
Working from his studio in Masham, Ian Scott Massie creates watercolours, prints and screenprints. He is inspired by the unique personality of places, capturing their atmosphere and spirit.

Jo Bourne

Living and working in Newcastle, Jo Bourne creates woodcut relief prints. The wood grain forms an important part of the design, adding texture.

Pam Grimmond

Linocut, Pam Grimmond
Based in North Yorkshire, not far from our gallery in Masham, Pam creates linoprints. Her work explores our relationship with the natural world, often inspired by her local walks.

Etching and Linocut-Ian Maculloch
Working in a variety of printmaking techniques, Ian particularly likes working in linocut and etching. Early mornings and evenings are of particular inspiration to Ian.

Based in Welburn, North Yorkshire, Anna's etchings and collographs are informed by the patterns found in historical heritage sites. Anna celebrates the often overlooked smaller details of these places.

Living in a wooded area on the edge of Dartmoor, Richard is often inspired by the silhouettes of branches. He works with both etching and linocut techniques.

Teresa has a fascination with storytelling. Living and working in Brighton, their linocut prints often originate from stories, both well-known and self-imagined.

Etching - Susie Perring
Working almost exclusively with aquatints, Susie loves the velvety texture this technique creates as well as the bold contrasts which can be achieved. Susie works from her studio in London.

Inspired by the different atmospheres light creates in our surroundings, Anja works with etchings to magnify the mood and sensations of places she has been. Anja works from her studio in central Durham.
Mixed Media - Rachel Stainsby
Creating etchings and collagraphs of animals, Sonia's characterful prints are made at her studio in South London. Working for over twenty years, they are still surprised by each new character that materialises.

People are central to Frans's work, as well as close observations of the natural world. Working in linocut and woodcut, their creations are often rooted in story-telling.

Josie Beszant

Mixed Media - Josie Beszant
A collector of stories, poems and fragments of things Josie works from her home and studio here in Masham. Working in collage and mixed media, Josie's work celebrates the beauty of the damaged, discarded and broken.

Michael Atkin

Etching - Michael Atkin
Michael's prints are often narrative, and are interpretations of incidents they have seen or heard. They work predominately with hand coloured etchings.
