Pam is an artist and printmaker based in Markington, North Yorkshire, working from her home studio and drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape. From the textures and colours of North Yorkshire to the shifting light of the Northumberland coast, her work is rooted in close observation of place. Birds, trees and plant forms seen on daily walks, alongside seasonal change, are a constant influence.
Architectural details — turrets, domes and weathervanes — also appear within her compositions, adding a subtle sense of narrative and atmosphere, suggested through shape and colour rather than direct depiction. Her practice centres on original linoprint, produced in small editions. Each piece is built through layers of line, colour and texture, using semi-transparent inks to create depth and a quiet luminosity as the image gradually emerges. Pam holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Applied Creative Design and an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts. Her work has received several awards and has been widely published, including commissions for Resurgence & Ecologist, the RSPB, and BBC Countryfile. |
