masham gallery & the happy house

Picture
Rooted in Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales.

For more than three decades, Masham Gallery has made its home within a centuries-old building - shared with a working artists’ studio and The Happy House. It is a place for art, making and community, shaped by the seasons.
The gallery is rooted in Masham, a small market town in Wensleydale with a long and continuing creative life.

Edgelands- until July 31st our walls are showcasing the overlooked, forgotten edge lands, transitional landscapes between places with the woodcuts of Joanna Bourne, screen prints of Angela Hall and  etchings of Janis Goodman

Meet the Artists: Jo Bourne & Janis Goodman

Join us for an afternoon exploring the ideas, inspirations and printmaking techniques behind Edgelands. Jo and Janis will bring original woodblocks and etching plates, offering a fascinating insight into how their prints are made.
Saturday 4 July, 2–4pm (artist talk 2–3pm, followed by Meet the Artists in the gallery). Free to attend. Booking essential.

Screen Printing with Angela Hall

Angela will also be introducing her new book on screen printing, offering visitors a chance to learn more about this colourful and versatile printmaking technique.
Saturday 18 July, 2–4pm. Free to attend.
