For more than three decades, Masham Gallery has made its home within a centuries-old building - shared with a working artists’ studio and The Happy House. It is a place for art, making and community, shaped by the seasons. 
The gallery is rooted in Masham, a small market town in Wensleydale with a long and continuing creative life.

Charms & Murmurings October 3rd - November 22nd

Step into an exhibition that feels a little like walking inside a collector’s cabinet: filled with feathers, nests, eggs, curious objects, fragments of folklore and the stories we have gathered around birds for centuries.

Charms and Murmurings brings together artists Josie Beszant, Hester Cox and Charlotte Morrison, who have collaborated on their ongoing Collections project since 2015. Through collage, printmaking, ceramics and found objects, they explore our fascination with birds, where observation, collecting, superstition and imagination meet.


Sunday 11th October 1.30 pm - Meet the artists - the rooms behind Masham Gallery. Come and meet Josie, Hester and Charlotte. There will be a short (45min) chat about the exhibition, its themes and processes and a time to ask questions. FREE but limited room so please email josie@mashamgallery.co.uk to book a place.
