'Gala Day Bunting', one of three pieces made for the Masham Gallery exhibition ‘Tiny Treasures’ by artist Frances Ryan. The work also forms part of her most recent series the ‘Daisy Chain Diaries’, which work around the idea of treasured memories. Using found photographs and discarded screen print test papers Frances explores found histories and conjoined identities. The works revolve around situations and characters both real and imagined, hopefully bringing a narrative to life, exploring thoughts and emotions and how memory can be shared, can be fleeting, and can change over time.
