'Hereford Cathedral is home to a number of treasures including the astonishing Mappa Mundi. Dating from around 1300 the map shows an impression of the world with Jerusalem at the centre. In various places strange beings are named including the Monoceros ( a bit like a unicorn) and the Blemmyes - a vaguely human race with no head, but with their facial features on their chests.'
