This secret hive is made inside a beautiful Victorian papier-mache pot. The handprinted roses on the pot are so pretty. It's a lovely antique piece. There are signs of wear on the top of the lid, commensurate with age.
Hiding inside Leigh has created a 'secret hive' with handmade paper honeycomb and four little bees which are stitched from felt, thread and wire. The 'honey' is made from dyed resin. the piece is signed and numbered on the back. The pot when closed measures 8cm in diameter and is 6.5cm high.
