“Skylines silhouetted against the light have always seemed to me the simplest, yet most eloquent way to capture the beauty and drama of the light and the land. I think this is because the glow rising over the horizon or falling behind it brings with it either the promise of the day to come or the satisfaction of a long day done.This group of paintings, made over a number of years, are all drawn from landscapes which have continually inspired me and for which I feel a huge amount of affection.”
