On dark winter mornings over the roofs from the back of the house the lights are on in the brewery while the town sleeps. The delicious aroma of malt wafts through Masham as another batch of Old Peculier* (note the spelling!) gets underway. *Named after Masham’s ancient Peculier Court. The view began life as a sketch from the back window of our house.
