Their work is shaped by attention: to material, to process, to the slow unfolding of ideas. It reflects a way of working that values depth over speed, and connection over scale.
Masham Gallery has grown from this context. For more than thirty years, the gallery has shown contemporary art and craft rooted in place, story and making - work that takes time, holds meaning, and resists easy categorisation.
This page began as an exhibition in 2024, but its focus remains ongoing.
The artists and works gathered here are part of a continuing relationship with Masham. Not a moment in time, but a shared attention to landscape, memory and lived experience. Some of this work has been shown before. Much of it is still being made.
Place is not a backdrop here.
It is an active presence.
