| My paintings often recall small observed moments which invoke a sense of place. To me these small events are far richer and more unexpected than anything that comes out of the imagination. The enfolding quality of the landscape of the Dales is an important element in much of my work. I try to push an image to its most evocative form. I hope that the process of completing one picture produces enough, ‘what ifs’, to start another. I like light, colour and texture in a painting. Please for originals in stock |
